Parents and grandparents are encouraged to contribute their time and talents in the classrooms, at lunch and at recess. Volunteer requests are sent home at the beginning of each academic year. Classroom volunteers help teachers with lessons, administrative tasks and the coordination of holiday parties. Lunch volunteers help serve food to students and teachers, clean up the lunch room and help wash dishes. Recess monitors help supervise the children while they play.
St. Cletus Church and School follows the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (Protecting God’s Children). The program is designed to help protect the youth, elderly, and vulnerable adults of our parish as they participate in activities within our community. For more information please call Mary Peters at 636-255-1714 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Parents are also encouraged to become active in the PTO and Men’s Club. The PTO organizes programs that benefit the parish and the school, and raise funds for activities and non-budgeted school supplies and equipment. This prevents the children from having to sell magazines, wrapping paper, etc. All school parents are encouraged to attend PTO meetings. Bi-monthly meetings are held at 7:00 in the school cafeteria. The following are some of the events PTO organizes.
The Men’s Club
Many school fathers are members of the Men’s Club, which is a parish sponsored organization open to all men of the parish over the age of 21.
The Men’s Club organizes and operates the parish's athletic programs, parish functions such as the annual Parish Picnic and Lenten Fish Fries, and assists with the maintenance of the church and school properties.
Its stewardship activities include Sunday Breakfasts which benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Adopt- a-family at Christmas, scholarships to the graduating 8th grade class, and various other charity works.
Mens Club meetings are held every second Wednesday of each month in the school cafeteria. For information, visit www.StCletusMensClub.org
